My Counseling/Therapy Approach

Learn a New Skillset

I get it. Starting therapy is probably not your first choice.

It is perfectly reasonable to be skeptical, wary, and hesitant of a profession that feels both foreign and unpredictable. We all yearn for certainty and control of our lives.

But occasionally those feelings of caution, uneasiness, and intimidation can hinder our ability to be open and curious in learning how we can better ourselves and our relationships.

You might catch yourself thinking…

“What am I doing wrong?”

“I feel like I am missing something.”

“I’m at a loss for how to proceed.”

“What if I never figure out how to fix my problems?”

“I’m terrified of losing the people closest to me.”

“How do I save my relationships?”

Counseling Power

Thankfully, professional counseling has the power to help us find clarity and re-establish control in our lives.

I teach clients how to improve their relationships with their romantic partners, friends, work colleagues, and themselves.

Whereas most mental health professionals use a singular method to help all their clients, I believe that effective therapy requires both a methodical and collaborative approach tailored to your specific needs.

Together we will….

  • Make sense of what is currently happening in your relationships, your personal life, and your career.

  • Identify your inherit strengths and learned skillsets.

  • Integrate my psychoeducational knowledge and resources to help provide direction and forward momentum in your life.

  • Heighten your self-perception, autonomy, and independence.

  • Assess your progression in reaching your personal and relationship goals.

  • Fine-tune the counseling approach to help you more effectively fulfill your aspirations.

Professional counseling can be an intimidating and overwhelming experience.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Rather than viewing therapy as a punishment or an anxiety-inducing process, I encourage you to see it as an opportunity to learn a new skillset.

Your current method of solving problems and relationship struggles has helped you get this far in life. This is an opportunity to learn more about yourself, your needs, and what you want for your relationships. Therapy is about breaking free of the plateau that is currently holding you back.

I am so grateful for every one of my clients.
